Our Staff

Maria Jose earned her Master’s degree in social research in 2002. She worked her way up the ladder in the Supreme Court of El Salvador, eventually becoming coordinator of all the social workers in that country. She was a frequent lecturer and conference organizer on the topic of domestic violence.

All this changed when she immigrated to the United State with her two children in order to marry Dr. Henry. She still uses her background in sociology by doing volunteer family counseling at First Baptist Church of Peachtree City.

You are most likely to encounter Maria Jose in our business office assisting Spanish-speaking patients. But occasionally she can be coaxed into the operatories to assist her husband with dental procedures.

In her spare time, Maria Jose likes to read fiction, especially books by Danielle Steele. She says that the best thing about working at our office is allaying patient fear, and communicating with Spanish-speaking patients.

Robin is the second northerner I have hired to work the front desk. One day she will be able to speak Southern, but it hasn’t happened yet!

Robin was born in the Bronx, New York, but grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey. She moved to Georgia with her family during the Atlanta Olympics in 1996. Recently she bought a house in Hampton.

Robin has one son named Michael, and two Yorkshire Terriers. During her spare time, she likes to cook on the grill, shop at WalMart, and go to downtown jazz concerts in the park.

Those of you who have met her know how friendly and vivacious Robin is. Her favorite thing about working our office is communications with patients and co-workers.

Chasity is our dental assistant. She came to our office on the recommendation of her parents and sister who were already patients. Formally trained as an assistant, Chasity had taken a break to have kids. She updated her clinical skills quickly, then was able to work full-time in the office when our last assistant left.

Chasity spent her early childhood with her family in Forest Park. However, they shortly moved to McDonough, back when it was a sleepy rural town. She now lives on some acreage outside of McDonough, which allows plenty of space for her two young boys, two dogs, and five cats.

In her spare time, Chasity likes to jog, swim, and fish. And of course, try to keep up with her two young sons. She says that the thing she likes most about working in our office is that she is constantly learning things.

Barbara was one of those employees we liked so much, we convinced her to return to work a different job!

Barbara has and interesting life story. She was born and raised in the Cajun country of Louisiana. Her father’s job moved the family to the hot desserts of California, where she worked 25 years as an assistant for the same dentist. Wanting a change in life after her long-time employer retired, she moved to Georgia in 1994 and worked for us as an assistant. She was dearly loved by all our patients.

Barbara took two years off to attend the dental hygiene school program at Clayton State. After graduation, she worked for a Buckhead dentist until he retired. After being assured that I was not going to retire anytime soon, she returned to Morrow to work as a hygienist in our office. Now she has a short and traffic-free commute

Barbara has two children. Her daughter Susan lives in Texas, and her son Matt lives with her in Jonesboro. You’ve got to respect a woman who does all her own yard work! When she is not cleaning teeth, her house, or her yard, Barbara likes to read.
